Neethlingshof 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon

I haven’t had red wine in a while because I’ve been trying to start a collection and so I try not to consume any of my wine (especially the reds). However its the festive season so why not open up a bottle or two. This Neethlingshof had to take one for the team. It’s a 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon from stellenbosch, has an alcohol volume of 13.98% and was matured for 16 months in oak barrels. It has blackberry aromas and spicy vanilla oak flavours. What I love about it is its subtle tannin, it doesn’t leave you feeling thirsty or dehydrated.

It is definitely a must have. Enjoy it with some steak and vegetables on a warm summer evening.
